Concentrating Solar Power Systems Types and Technologies

Basic Concept of CSP Systems:

Concentrating Solar Power (CSP)systems generate electricity by using mirrors or lenses to concentrate a large area of sunlight, or solar thermal energy, onto a small area. This concentrated solar energy is then used to heat a fluid, which drives a heat engine (such as a steam turbine) to generate electricity. CSP systems are distinct from photovoltaic (PV) solar systems, which convert sunlight directly into electricity using semiconductor materials.
