5. Unit 5- Fashion

Introduction 

Congratulations! you're now in unit 4 which means you have come along way and you are getting close to achieving your goals. In this unit you will learn a lot about fashion and do some really fun exercises that would complement the material you have in the book. In the first section, you will be familiarized with the names of the different types of clothing articles and you will discover if you are keen on fashion. In the second part, you will get a taste of what traditional clothes look like and symbolize both in Palestine and around different parts of the world. In the third reading topic, you will decide if downdressing affects the way we perceive people's social status. Of course no unit would be complete without grammar! For this unit you will revise the rules of present continuous and the use of adverbs of frequency. As for the writing section, you will learn to use the conjunctions 'so and because' properly in your writing and of course your speaking when talking about topics related to fashion and other fields.
